Today is set to be a pivotal day in the 6 year conflict over the Walker Corporation plan to develop a canal estate on the Ralphs Bay conservation area. All indications are that the final review by the Tasmanian Planning Commission will be damning of the Walker Corp plan and that the State Government will soon be considering some kind of ban on canal estates.
