NATHAN BRANCH UPSTAGES FAVORITES TO TAKE OUT RED HERRING SURF PRO

The Red Herring Surf Pro/Tasmanian State Bodyboard Titles Goats Beach TAS.
Port Macquaries Nathan Branch upstaged his more fancied rivals to take out the fifth event on the Australasian Professional Bodyboard Tour, the Red Herring Surf Pro held at South Goats on Saturday. The womens final was also high scoring with Ulladullas Emma Cobb narrowly defeating current world number two Lilly Pollard in an impressive display of skill and wave selection. Meanwhile Victorias Justin Welsh ousted a field of local and interstate competitors to claim the Dropknee title.

STATE BODYBOARD SCENE SET TO EXPLODE WITH RED HERRING PRO

After an absence of over a year, the Australasian Professional Bodyboard Tour is set to once again grace the shores of the countries most southern state. The Red Herring Pro, to be held over May 19th and 20th, is the fifth stop on a tour that has already passed though New Zealand, New South Wales, Queensland and the Dreamworld wavepool.

Pro Bodyboarding Comp comes to Tassie

Rain couldn’t deter the nationally acclaimed boys from paddling out at our locals, to compete in a leg of the Pro Tour Bodyboarding comp on Saturday.
Points and national rankings were up for grabs along with a share in $2000 prize money, and the boys provided tough competition in order to take out the title.
