TDA Crabs are a Hobart-based recreational diving club. We cater for divers of all levels of experience. We mainly do shore dives but some club members have boats and are happy to make these available for club trips. We dive within 15 minutes to 2 hours drive from the city, mostly on Sundays, and do occasional night dives and weekend trips to other parts of the state.•READ MORE... •

The Tasmanian SCUBA Diving Club (TSDC) was formed in the mid 1960s and is one of Tasmania’s largest and most active dive clubs. The club is based in Hobart and meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 7:30pm at The Queens Head Bar and Cafe (400 Elizabeth Street North Hobart). New members are welcome to come along to these meetings.

EAST COAST ARTIFICIAL REEF DIVE SITE “SUNK”

Tassie Divers to converge on Bicheno

The 2nd Tasmanian Combined Scuba Clubs event will take place this month, on the Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of May, 2006. After the success of last year, it was Ocean Divers Plus’ turn to organise another fun weekend where divers from every where get together and basically have a great and fun weekend getting wet and talking diving, in one of arguably Australia’s best dive spots.

Federal Government Commits to Dive Wreck Project

A long standing project to establish an artificial dive reef off the coast of Maria Island looks almost certain to go ahead with today’s announcement by the Federal Government that it will contribute almost $300,000 towards the project. The Federal announcement matches an equivalent pledge from the State Government back in June.

Tasmania lures divers with its underwater discoveries

Apart from the beautiful marine environment that lures divers, Tasmanian waters also hold some of the most interesting shipwrecks in the area, and have become a favourite dive site for National Geographic photographer David Doubilet.

Tasmanian police diving offers career options for the determined, calm and fearless

It takes a very calm and determined person with the ability to identify objects in the dark, who doesn't mind freezing water and works well in a team to be a police diver.
