Leave it to the Falls Festival crew to keep pushing the boundaries and improving the experience for music lovers and festival freaks. Check their latest announcement which will not only hobble greedy scalpers and keep ticket prices low, but will also mean good things for our environment.
TICKETING THIS YEAR HAS CHANGED This year, all Falls Festival tickets will be sold online via The Falls Festival website and there will be no full festival tickets available in stores. If you haven’t already entered the ticket ballot you have until midnight on Monday 20th of August for you and your friends to have the chance to purchase your tickets early, and with ease!
Up to 80% of tickets will be allocated to subscribers. This system gives EVERYONE a chance to get tickets this year, without the hassle of lining up, and without the stress of having to be super quick on the keyboard! If you are not an internet user, find a friend that is, and ask them to enlist you!
You’ll be happy to know there are two rounds of ticket allocations. The first round is from August 27th and the second round offer is from September 4th. So if you’re not notified immediately, don’t fret my friend, you could be in the second round! The remaining 20% of tickets will be available from September 10th through our website.
So, to purchase your tickets, all you’ll need to do is jump online, whether it be at home, the internet cafe down the street, or at the library! For those of you clever enough to not have a credit card (and have already tried your family and friends), don’t despair, as our new ticket system has PayPal…all you need is net access and a bank account (and ensure you log onto PayPal prior to purchasing your tickets to create an account)!
Green Tix have made online purchasing easy with their automated queuing system, capacity to process large numbers, and access to PayPal (for those that don’t have access to a credit card), which should make ticket purchasing seamless and hassle free.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: The Falls Festival will have individual names printed on each individual ticket. Only you, the ticket holder, with your identification (name and date of birth), will be able to enter the gates to the event. So, if buying for your friends (you can purchase four tickets per transaction), ensure you’ve gotten the ‘ok’ from your mates (and a list of their correctly spelt names and date of births in front of you) when you purchase. You have until October 15th to change the name of the purchased ticket, and you can only change two names per transaction.
The benefits or our new ticket system keep rolling in…Not only will our tickets be printed on recycled paper, but we’ve teemed up with Greening Australia and Green Tix to ensure that one tree will be planted with each ticket sold!
