TASSIE BOYS COME IN FROM COLD

THE sun has been up for an hour but the air temperature is still only 2C and the water a balmy 12C in comparison.

It is hardly the domain of the bronzed Australian surf lifesaver. But it has been the habitat of Tasmanian brothers Jared and Adam Wiseman, who next weekend will represent the Devonport Surf Life Saving Club at the Coolangatta Gold ironman race on Queensland's Gold Coast.

POLICE JOIN WITH SURF LIFESAVERS TO PREVENT VEHICLE CRIME

Surf lifesavers from Clifton Beach are joining forces with Tasmania Police to prevent thefts from vehicles in isolated beach car parks.

Over the summer months the use of the southern beaches increases in popularity with surfers, swimmers and families.

Park Smart is a brochure which highlights the need for crime prevention awareness when parking vehicles around beach areas.

“Thrills and Spills” at surfboat State Titles
