Down in southern Tasmania, we all woke to see a fair coverage of snow on Mount Wellington, and a chilly 4.6 degrees C at 7.30 this morning in Hobart. Temperatures crawled down to -3.0 degrees on the Mountain, recorded at both 8.30 and 9.30 in the morning.
The view from the VirtualTasmania Arthurs Lake web camera captured the Arthurs Lake boat ramp covered in snow too, with Liawenee reaching a recorded -1.7 degrees C minimum temperature at 8am this morning..
As the day progressed, and the clouds cleared (somewhat), the snow started to melt and the Arthurs Lake webcam recorded the scene..
The temperature peaked at 1.30pm, with the Bureau of Meteorology station at Liawenee recording a chilly 2.1 degrees C. West south westerly winds at 20 to 40 knots during the entire day would have ensured you were chilled to the bone..
I’m glad to be looking at these images, warm, sitting in front of the computer..

Should the TAS Government *ignore* the RPDC's final recommendation for new "no take" marine protected areas (MPAs) in the Bruny bioregion?
